It says a great deal for a young person to attend classes all year, practice, rehearse and see their dances through to performance. Even when there are scheduling conflicts, too much homework, or friends who may have dropped out. The lessons that they will learn throughout the year are not only about dance. What they will take from their training is discipline, confidence, focus, tenacity, and especially an appreciation for the arts. Their dance training is a superior method by which to teach manners, culture, and respect for themselves and others.
Through past experience, we've noticed that a child who enjoys dancing and spends increasingly more time at dancing school while growing up, rarely gets into serious problems. There are always goals to strive for and role models at dancing school to emulate.
Possibly the part of the entire dancing experience is the fun that can be shared by the parent and child. This is a great way to set the ground work for future communication between parent and child. As the child continues to grow up with the parents taking an interest in the child's dancing school accomplishments, the bond continues to grow. Your rewards in the future will be great.
